Towards Vision is a consultancy run by Dawn Bonfield MBE FREng.
I work and consult on a variety of projects in the engineering sector including: inclusive engineering outcomes; engineering education; sustainable development and the SDGs; access, inclusion and sustainability in the built environment; EDI (equity, diversity and inclusion) with a focus on gender; ethics and global responsibility; engineering outreach; and the history of women in engineering. Through Towards Vision I work collaboratively with companies, charities, government, policy makers, organisations and other interested groups.

About me
I am an aerospace composite materials engineers by background, and now have a number of diverse roles across the engineering sector. I am President of the Commonwealth Engineers’ Council, and an International Member of the World Federation of Engineering Organisations, where I am a member of various working groups, and a member of the Executive Board. In the UK I am Professor of Practice of Engineering for Sustainable Development at King's College London working with students and the University more broadly on addressing and embedding the Sustainable Development Goals. I am Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor of Inclusive Engineering at Aston University, I teach on a Degree Apprenticeship and Masters level Professional Engineering qualification and my research is based on the topic of Inclusive Engineering Outcomes. I am Founder & Director of Towards Vision, a not-for-profit which focuses on Inclusive Engineering - the process of ensuring that engineering products and services are accessible and inclusive of all people, and are as free as possible from discrimination and bias, throughout their lifecycle. I am Past President and former Chief Executive of the Women's Engineering Society (WES), and was the founder of International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) which takes place on 23 June annually. I am also the founder of the social enterprise ‘Magnificent Women’ which celebrates the history of women in engineering.
